It’s fun to know about some stuff in the old age. Nomads are one example too. They go from one place to another and the rest is history.

We had a view that people in the pre-industrial age lived in their area all their lives. Recently this idea has been found inaccurate and many families have been found to travel the length of the country. It seems we have always moved around. One case was a boy who walked from his town to find work in London, he came from the Midlands and after some research was found he made the trip alone age 8! – this came from the book ‘flushed with pride’

It’s amazing where those Vikings wandered to. Vikings have been confirmed to have traveled in Eastern Oklahoma. go figure.
