Having spent much of the past year in numerous airports, I know what you mean about a “world in which every journey is an identical non-experience at 30,000 feet.” Luckily, I was able to spend long enough at each destination to get a feel for the environment and people. My goal for the upcoming year is to continue experiencing less locations more deeply.
