Really loved this one. I have had the teeth falling out dream before as well, freaked me out no end, I wasn’t even travelling.
One dream I did have though when travelling was I was suddenly walking around a city and suddenly someone handed me a child, and I remember vividly asking who’s kid is this and everyone ignored me. Very strange.

I had a series of dreams over a six month period abroad dealing with ex boyfriends. All friendly encounters, in chronological order about our respective relationships and why the romances did not work out. In many of these dreams the ex declined an invitation to travel with me. My favorite though, involved a yet unidentified handsome Scandinavian type , tall and broad shouldered, who was in the balcony of an auditorium where I was giving a reading to a large audience. Afterwards I go to his seat and I receive the warmest hug. We are obviously a couple and I woke in my tent in Swazialnd wondering where and when I’ll find this lovely man.

Lusine, your Mandarin dream is a clear sign that China will play an important role in your life – you could travel to China (I recommend the Southwest), but you should also keep an eye out for ex-pat populations of Chinese in the European cities you visit. How are they treated by the locals? What role do they play in society? How are Chinese immigrants treated differently from, say, immigrants from Africa or India?

I had the teeth Dream in Chang Mai, Thailand. But looking back, i can’t remember if i felt that i was losing control, I was just having a really good time.

Dear Fortune Teller Tim

I agree with you on the 3rd point. However, I had a rather strange dream. Before taking off on a backpack tour to Europe, I dreamed that I was fluent in Mandarin. I have never spoken Mandarin in my life, nor have I traveled to Asia. Do you think this means something? Maybe I should have backpacked through Asia.

Tim, good post! I liked the last bit about the erotic dreams. To the contrary, I actually think that to have had my girlfriend with me while we travelled was very good for us. Even if the pillows got nervous when I went to sleep.
The GOLDEN rule is not to mention any one else’s name in your sleep…

Tim, I was laughing when I started reading the description of the teeth dreams. How did you know?!!

Foreign language dreams are fun, but can also be exhausting. When we were traveling with some French tourists in Tajikistan, my dreams involved translating between French, Russian and English. Then the day would start and it would continue in reality.
