The mysterious and profound ’string theory’ is artfully revealed in this 3 part series from PBS.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably heard of ’string theory’ before. It’s basically the idea that everything (me, you, the universe) is made of tiny strings of vibrating energy. Physicists have dubbed these energy strands “strings.”

But what does that actually mean? And why has it caused a huge uproar in the scientific community?

To answer that question, and share it with the laymen, PBS/Nova produced an excellent series explaining string theory and the wild implications. I found all 3 parts online in their entirety…enjoy!

Part I – Einstein’s Dream

Part II – String’s The Thing

Part III – Welcome To The 11th Dimension

To learn more about the program and string theory, visit Nova’s website The Elegant Universe.

Infinite density may not be that far off, either.

We are a group that is challenging the current paradigm in physics which is Quantum Mechanics and String Theory. There is a new Theory of Everything
Breakthrough. It exposes the flaws in both Quantum Theory and String
Theory. Please Help us set the physics community back on the right course and prove that Einstein was right! Visit our site The Theory of Super Relativity: http://www.superrelativity.org

I read the ‘Elegant Universe’ years back, which is a good book for people with and without science backgrounds. You’ll be fascinated by the universe going on all around us.

I would love to download these videos so that I can put them on my PSP for my flight to West Virginia tomorrow, but can’t quite figure out how to save them to my hard drive. Help?
