We all struggle sometimes and part of the introspection Carlo talks about should aim at finding out what causes the suffering in our lives. Once we've identified those issues, we need to find out how to prevent them from happening again. Sounds simple when I put it like that but that's just not the case.
The idea of compassion is also fascinating. I think that many of the readers here are travelers and one of the best ways to find a connection with strangers and opposites of ourselves is to experience different cultures and realize that it's true--we all want to be happy. Once we believe this, we can try to work together and put an end to both our own, as well as others' suffering and strive for happiness.Great article.
