Meet Tim Patterson

tim-pattersonCo-Editor

Tim Patterson has slept in haunted houses in Cambodia, in the engine compartment of a slow boat on the Mekong River in Laos, among baboons and elephants at the bottom of Ngorongoro Crater, atop a mountain pass in Bhutan, and under a bush in Hokkaido after his tent exploded during a typhoon.

His travel writing focuses on off-beat destinations, slow travel, cultural awareness and environmentally conscious tourism, and has appeared in print media such as Get Lost and The San Francisco Chronicle, as well as a host of online media.

Tim is now chasing penguins in Patagonia as a writer/researcher for Fodor’s Travel Guides. Track him down at his homepage: www.rucksackwanderer.com
