Alexis Wolff is a writer who grew up in the rural Midwest and has since made it her mission to live anywhere else. After stints in Connecticut, Kentucky, Norway, Niger, South Africa and South Korea, she now calls New York City home. She has a BA in African Studies from Yale University and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University. Her work has appeared in publications such as the New York Times, The Best Women's Travel Writing 2008, WorldHum.com, Transitions Abroad, Abroad View and Matador.org, among others.
